Helper in an emergency

Do you know the number to call in an emergency here in Spain? Answer
Have you seen a traffic accident with your own eyes?
Did anyone close to you have had heart or circulatory problems?
And do you know how to react in such an emergency?

It can happen everywhere that you need to help someone else in an emergency situation.
E. g. at work, in the family-home, in street traffic or at school.
The imagination to help somebody injured in an accident often involves insecurity or anxiety.
What shall I do now? - What if I do something wrong? - I'm not a physician!

It does not have to be like that!
The emergency responder is a very important link in the rescue-chain, which tries to save the victims life and/or health.
Passive minutes can make a difference of a lifelong disability or even the victims survival.
Leave the passiveness, become a role model and learn to help. Because only a great number of emergency responders increase the probability of not being watched deedles, in case of having an emergency yourself.

Company Courses

especially at work many accidents happen. Be it at the construction area, in the trade, in the office or gastronomy.
Different than in Spain in many countries there are laws making companies to have their employees trained in first aid frequently.
Here you can step forward as a role model. Make your work place a safer location and let your staff take part regulary at first-aid training.
Your employees, guests and costumers will appreciate it, not to talk about the positve image it does to your companies name.
Contact me for a no obligation quotation.
Companies that have their employees trained in first aid thru me will be included into my publicity if desired.

Automated External Defibrilator training (AED)

You see them at airports, in public buildings and sports fields and fortunately nowadays they are becomming more and more normal at locations of every day life.
AED's, these little boxes with medical technology, for the life-saving use through laymen should not be missing at all near swimming pools, homes for the aged or in bigger companies. A high density of AED's increases the chance of survival.
An AED used at the right time can increase a patient's chance of survival from a "cardiac arrest" by fifty percent.
This course builds up on the skills taught in the EFR-Primary Care course and teaches you the correct application of an AED
Therefor we will use an AED-trainer which shows the same characteristics and control elements like its real colleagues.

We also sell and rent AEDs. Please visit us here.

EFR-Instructor (First Aid Instructor)

During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. (Region-specific courses including First Aid at Work Asia Pacific and First Aid at Work Great Britain require additional training.) Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response courses.

The EFR-Instructor training allows you to go to the IEM in Barcelona and take the course "Instructor Soporte Vital Básico".
Thus for the first time in Spain a non-medic person can become a first aid instructor. That is a good chance to get into this quite new market.

About EFR and me

Emergency First Response is a worldwide fast growing organisation for first aid education and the offered courses are recognized all over the world by many institutions.
The ERF-courses are held according to the standards that have been worked out by the work-group "Basic Life Support" of the International Liasison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). ILCOR is a worldwide federation of many resuscitation organisations where among others the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) is a member too.

Main focus of EFR is to train as many laymen as possible to qualified emergency responders. It is especially important to strengthen the self-confidence and self-image of the attendee and make him help in a real emergency.

The courses include comprehensive study material (inclusive DVD) which can be prepared during self studies. Thus we'll have more time for practicing the skills. In a relaxed atmosphere there'll be exercised various scenarious to internalise the learned issues.

As diving and first-aid instructor I've been working already since 2002 at the Mediterranean respectively in the Denia region. To the diving website.
Due to further education at the Instituto Estudios Médicos (IEM) in Barcelona I am now able to offer you the certification "soporte vital básico" according to the Spanish standards of "Semicyuc" and "Plan Nacional RCP".
Since April 2006 I can also train EFR instructors.

First aid is nothing boring and to learn it can be quite some fun too.
With this attitude I would like to teach many people along the Costa Blanca the basics of first aid.
